Tina’s Bio

Tina Sinclair CGLI HND BABTAC MBIAE CRPE
    Trans Electrolysis Specialist

    Non-Surgical Diathermy/Surgical Electrolysis/Advanced Cosmetic Procedures
    Medical Aesthetician

Tina started in the Medical Aesthetics Industry over 20 years ago.
She qualified with distinction from Edinburgh’s Telford College in her chosen field of Therapies & Electrolysis. At this time she decided to specialise predominantly in Electrolysis, furthering her training and achieving another distinction in post-graduate Advanced/Surgical Electrolysis (predominantly using Diathermy). This is an even more specialised method of treatment which treats skin tags, moles, mole hair, warts, verrucae and face/upper body thread veins to name but a few.

Tina set up her own Electrolysis & Aesthetics Clinic in Fife, Scotland. The clinic went from strength to strength and earned an enviable reputation for itself. It went on to win several business awards, culminating in the Investors in People award. The Company was sold in June 2010 which enabled Tina to work less but specialise more!

It was during all these years that she was approached by Sterex Electrolysis International Ltd to become their Scottish National Trainer. For over 13 years she covered most of the Further Education Colleges in Scotland helping the lecturers & students alike to become the best Electrologists they could possibly be. She also helped to judge the coveted Sterex Student of the year award.

Because of her passion & enthusiasm for Electrolysis she has carried on doing more & more technical work & for about the last 15 years has chosen to specialise in pre & post operative Male & Female face & donor site Transgender Electrolysis, working in conjunction with Gender Assignment Health professionals across the country. She also attends as many Equality Network conferences to keep her general knowledge up to date.

Her particular niche speciality was noticed by Sterex Electrolysis who asked her to come on board their groundbreaking ‘Transgendered Electrolysis’ training course as a Consultant, helping present & teach the practical elements alongside Elaine Stoddart, a real heavyweight in the Electrolysis & Training industry. Elaine also runs her own practice in Harley Street, London. This innovative course has been running for 2 years now & has given so many Electrologists the confidence to expand their client base.

Tina is fully licenced & insured and has been a member of the British Association of Therapists & Cosmetologists for many years.

She is also a member of The British Institute & Association of Electrolysis (BIAE) for 13+ years, a UK wide group of elite Electrologists who are passionate about what they do. She has recently been approached to become a ‘mentor’ for new electrologists wishing to take the BIAE examination.

Tina now runs her practices from a number of approved clinics, the largest ones being Medicalternative, Edinburgh, founded by Dr Lyndsey Myskow also Face and Body, Edinburgh, founded by Dr Victoria Dobbie.
